What is Wine & Music?

Daniel Anastasio is coming to AV for an immersive afternoon that brings together live classical music and thoughtfully paired wines. This experience is designed to engage the senses, with each musical piece paired alongside a wine selection to highlight the interplay between sound and taste. Between movements, guests are invited into an open discussion, exploring how the music and wine shape their perception in real time. Set within the exceptional acoustics of our new tasting room, the event promises a truly unique and memorable atmosphere.

About The Artist

A soloist and chamber musician based in San Antonio, Texas, pianist Daniel Anastasio combines an intellectual curiosity with “technical prowess and emotional sensitivity” (Rivard Report). His performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 3, conducted by Leon Fleisher with the Ithaca College Chamber Orchestra, was “the highlight to everyone’s ears, if the full-house of standing ovation were any indication” (ECM reviews). Anastasio was a concerto competition finalist at Cornell University, Stony Brook University, and The Juilliard School, where he won the Mieczyslaw Munz Scholarship. He received fellowships to Tanglewood Music Center, Music Academy of the West, Kneisel Hall, and Yellow Barn Music Festival.

Wine & Music Event

Dr. Madeline Anderson is returning to AV after our stellar first experience late last year.  For those of you who attended that one, you know what an amazing afternoon it was!  Madeline performed five classical pieces, and Claude who is an avid audiophile paired the music with wines.  Between each of the movements, there was an open discussion with all in attendance about how the sensory experience impacted them.  Needless to say, the pairing of beautiful sound and great wines coupled with the acoustics in the new tasting room made for a spectacular event.

Admission is $100 per person, or you can also purchase a table of six for $550 - Wine Club discounts do apply.  The price includes admission to the concert (once again five musical pieces) paired with five wines selected by Claude.  We will also provide individual charcuterie plates for everyone to nibble on throughout the afternoon.
